Guest guest
Greetings Supertrainers, Well, it looks like I've finally done something to my knees. Luckily, it's not a big something yet, so I hope some of you folks can help me figure out what it might be before it's a big something. For the past 2 weeks I've experienced very small pain (1 or 2 on a 9 point scale) in both knees when walking. The pain usually occurs on the inner part of both knees. I do not experience any pain while squatting (powerlifter style) or after squatting, nor in the mornings. I'm not sure what brought this on, but I have a few ideas which are possible: 1) I went right from 8's in training to 3's and below-- it may have been too big a jump in percentages (but that doesn't explain why my elbows and shoulders are fine for benching) 2)I went off glucosamine/msm complex about a month ago b/c i read glucosamine decreases insulin sensitivity (also doesn't explain elbows and knees) 3) I have a quad/ham imbalance. This is very possible since I have never done anything for my quads (not besides a wide-stance squat, and from what I know the emphasis is not on quads) and do lots of hamstring exercises (good mornings, stiff-leg deadlifts, regular deads). I'm sure I left some stuff out, but if anyone could venture a guess as to what's going on, or how to test it/fix it, I would be most appreciative.
