Guest guest
If you value your freedom in these United States read the below information. Ok, we are BEGGING! Dear fellow Americans, friends and family members: We are emailing you today about a critical situation that is in the Senate THIS WEEK. Last week the Senate Ag committee put the National Animal Identification System (NAIS) back into the 2007 Farm Bill after we worked so hard to get it OUT of the farm bill in the House (and we succeeded there). The Senate Ag committee not only put it back in there at the last minute (cowards!), they also included a provision that would prohibit Americans from using the Freedom of Information Act to get any info from the NAIS database (which proves that the federal government intended to have control of that database all along, contrary to what they were telling us for the last 18 months!). This would effectively stop us as citizens from being able to force them to give us information they hold even on our own person. It also does away with the transparency that the FOIA forces the government to keep and which we NEED in order to keep the government as *honest* as possible. We have used the FOIA over and over here at the state level for over a year as it is the only way we've been able to force the government to give us information on what they are doing with the NAIS in this state. The fact that we have to go to these lengths to get that info is just another indication that they really don't want people to know the TRUTH about this monster! For those in Arkansas, we also want to say that Sen. Blanche Lincoln is on the Senate Ag committee. We don't know how she voted, yet, but she'd been telling us for 18 months that she was against the NAIS. Today, we are emailing all of you to BEG you to CALL your senators TODAY (or tomorrow)!!!! This is now on the full Senate floor and up for discussion and voting! If this is not stopped, it is the first step to FEDERALIZE the NAIS. This is also proof that the actions we've taken at the state levels to stop the NAIS *is* working!! They are moving to get around us and the will of the people by going this route. Don't let them get away with this! PLEASE!!!! HELP US stop them and make them know that we will not tolerate underhanded moves like this! Please read the note below and CALL your senators right away. As we said, we are BEGGING you to do this! We are literally fighting for our nation's sovereignty with this thing! Members of our Arkansas Animal Producer's Association are also calling, etc., but we need THOUSDANDS all over the nation doing this! They need to hear a roar from all Americans like they've never heard before! Then after you have called, please contact every person you know and ask them to do the same thing - this will literally affect EVERY person whether they own animals or not. Please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you for your help. Clarence and Anita Messenger http://arkansasanimalproducers.8k.com http://nonais.org NO TO THE NAIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Message: · Take Section 10305 out of the Farm Bill because it implies approval of USDA's implementation of NAIS. USDA has clearly shown that they will use underhanded, deceptive and unethical practices in order to force farmers into the program. · Section 10305 also provides false reassurance that the information in the databases will be confidential, when experience has shown that information in databases is vulnerable to both hackers and marketing misuse. · Tell Senators Lincoln and Pryor that we need a REAL debate about Animal ID in the Senate. NAIS will drive independent ranches and farms in the US out of business. · NAIS creates an undue economic burden on producers, does not include identification of imported meats, does nothing to increase consumer choice or confidence and expands packers' ability to unfairly discriminate against independent family farmers. · Americans believe it is extremely important to ensure consumer confidence in the safety and health of the U.S. food supply while at the same time ensuring the economic viability of independent livestock producers. However, NAIS does not meet the needs of producers or consumers. Your Call Can Make the Difference between Congressional Approval of NAIS and a True Debate about the Negative Impacts of this Program! For those in Arkansas, here is the contact info for our two senators. If anyone else needs help in getting the contact info for your own senators, please let me know.
