Thanks. No, didnt see the school post. I did see the thing to find lost

things. I would love to stick one on everything we own!

Now our latest worry is about losing teeth and fear she will choke on/swallow

them. Her teeth are BARELY starting to get loose, so we have awhile. She has

been excited, until today.

Sharon,

My daughter Lindsey also was afraid of losing her teeth that she would choke

on or swallow them. She first cried alot because she was the only one she knew

who had not lost a tooth (she was almost 7) and then when it got loose she cried

from fear. I think with that one you just have to ride it out. She would cry

that she couldn't eat anything, so I just let her have ice cream for dinner (she

gets extremely moody when hungry). It was a miserable couple of weeks but I

don't think I could have done anything differently then support her. Once it

came out, she realized it wasn't bad and when the next one got loose, it was no

big deal -- she was a " pro " at this now.

I hope it falls out real fast!

Thanks. I think it is fear of the unknown, which is SO HARD for a child with

OCD! Once the first one is lost, I am sure she will be fine. We have some

books about losing teeth, which we have read a lot. We have a short video

about teeth, but she first saw it when her OCD was in full swing in the

beginning and that scared her (King Cavity was going to come after her).

we too lived off soft baby food yogurt etc with dd - but it's because

she said it hurt - looking back may have been what everyone's

describing - i guess it is scary for all kids though not just ocd-

maybe get books about it - tell her your own experiences etc??? good

luck
