You could likely see if the MDs will bill it out as a general MD visit & take a small percentage of your fees. Reimbursement Advice I recently started self contracting with 3 bariatric surgeons, and am handling all my own fees and collection. Prior to this I worked for the hospital as the RD for these same surgeons. The hospital was billing M/M and getting reimbursement (a patient brought me a bill and it was only for a small fraction of the total charge). Do any of you know how they were doing this? Also, what about private insurance? Are any of you receiving reimbursement from these companies? As it stands, all of my patients are paying out of pocket.
