Guest guest
Kristi and all, Here is an interesting article on research on the BRAT diet (the T is either toast OR tea, BTW). It finds that this diet can be helpful in reducing diarrhea, particularly the combination of rice and green banana. The researchers do caution to not use this diet very long because it has very low fat, protein and fiber and with extreme and prolonged use led to children developing kwashiorkor or protein deficiency. _http://www.healthsystem.virginia.edu/internet/digestive-health/nutritionartic les/DuroArticle.pdf_ (http://www.healthsystem.virginia.edu/internet/digestive-health/nutritionarticle\ s/DuroArticle.pdf) Blessings, beth beth Buchele HMC* Professional Homeopath Offices in St. Louis Park, MN 952-933-6068 and Menomonie, WI 715-231-6068 (http://www.healthnaturally.biz/) w_ww.healthnaturally.biz_ (http://www.healthnaturally.biz/) " Natural Health for Mind and Body " *Homeopathic Master Clinician In a message dated 12/15/2007 6:51:24 P.M. And the Apples are Apples, not applesauce. Don't overdo this diet, or you'll end up on the other spectrum.
