Kristi and all,

Here is an interesting article on research on the BRAT diet (the T is either

toast OR tea, BTW). It finds that this diet can be helpful in reducing

diarrhea, particularly the combination of rice and green banana.

The researchers do caution to not use this diet very long because it has

very low fat, protein and fiber and with extreme and prolonged use led to

children developing kwashiorkor or protein deficiency.
