Happy New Year to all! We all here had a nice quiet night. My whole

house reeks of sauerkraut and pork, a family tradition.

This week has been an interesting week with Leigh Ann, Jessie's

mother. It seems the cold Jessie has that delayed the CAT scan last

wednesday has turned to pneumonia. It seems that there is a good

possibility that he will not be able to have it this wednesday

either. She did call yesterday and we got to hear Jessie jabbering

in the background. Jessie sounded like his normal happy self. We

woke up this morning to an email from Leigh Ann saying she will be

to busy all day and night so we are not allowed to call Jessie

today. We just hope she is not running around the town with Jessie

down with pnumonia. Jessie really needs to get better for his CAT

scan. Of course as you know, the ones here that have been keeping up

with my situation, Leigh Ann sometimes doesn't tell us the truth

about things. I found it odd that Jessie sounded so happy and

chipper as well as no coughing nor sounding congested. There is a

good possiblilty he isn't even ill. We did get smart this time and

had her tell us the medications the doctor put him on. First she

said on the phone Jessie was put on Prozac. I gasped, told

her not to give that to Jessie as Prozac is an anti-depressant for

adults. told her to go get his medicine bottles and to email

the names of them. One disturbs me a bit. It is a drug named

Prednisolone. We looked up the drug and it is a steriod that is

addictive as well can deplete calcium to the point it can make for

easy fractures. We asked her to call Arkansas Childrens Hospital and

to ask Dr. Blasiers office if that drug would be wise to give to

Jessie. She claims she did and Jessie is taking it. Leigh Ann now

tells us that Jessie may have asthma. Oh she also says that Jessie

has a bump on his back. I sure hope Jessie is well enough for his

CAT scan this week. Maybe then they will be able to start a

treatment plan. It scares me these weeks going by with him having a

57 degree curve with no treatment plan. I try to keep my chin up

thinking court is just in 16 days and God above help us obtain

custody. I fear if it keeps going like this Jessie may end up

crippled. I guess all we can do is pray for the best.

Jackie, a gloomy day.
