Guest guest
Have a patient who is pre-op with a colostomy that has some complications in the past. Her and her PCP's major concern is preventing constipation; therefore, she is unwilling to take oral iron supplements. She has talked to her PCP about getting an injection of iron. Has anyone else used this form of supplementation before? Was it successful? What dose? Thanks, Abby Klemme, RD, LD Missouri Bariatric Services
