Guest guest
On Saturday, will start dance lessons at the Y. The first pic was taken about a year ago when she was in a modified TLSO brace and had gotten a dance dress for her birthday. The second was taken tonight. Guest guest
Gail - What a total cutie!!!! It's good to hear that these kids can still participate in activities. That was my biggest issue when I found out about Evanlee. I totally tuned the doctor out and all I could picture was her sitting next to me watching her twin sister play, dance and do extra activities. I did feel better when I came home and researched famous people with scoliosis and there were several olympic swimmers, gymnast, etc. Go !!! , mom of Evanlee & is (7 mos)"Gail M. Guest guest
Hey Gail, What a georgous big girl is and doesn't she look so much more grown up in her leotard. I must try to post a pic of Bridget . She is looking great and enjoying being back in the water again. Her 14 months in plaster casts have worked miracles for her and I am so gland we followed this road. Good luck in 2006 Love Bert"Gail M. Guest guest
Dianna - Congratulations to you and Marcela. Is she in a brace now or just cast and brace free? Where did you receive treatment? and what were her numbers. We started our casting journey in March at 14 months and we are now on our 2nd cast at SLC. Happy Birthday next week! > > Hi All, I just wanted to post really quick--I havent in a while, sorry!. Some of you might remember my little girl, Marcela--well maybe not so little anymore, she'll be 2 next week!! I cant believe she's already turning 2, and when I think about this last year, I cant believe how fast it went (in retrospect) and how we actually survived it. > > TO think that last year at this time, we were celebrating Marci's 1st birthday and were just weeks away from her very first cast, is incredible. We were so scared and hopeful and SO UNAWARE of what we were in store for. > > Now embarking on her 2nd birthday, we have 3 casts under our belts and almost 4 months cast free AND STRAIGHT! 2010 has definitely been a happier year for our family. Last year was pretty rough, but I know it would have been unbearable without the support of my CAST family. I just wanted to thank you all, maybe give some new parents hope, and ask for your continued prayers (worrying doesnt go away completely after the cast comes off--at least not for me!). I always have a little prayer set aside for CAST and our little troopers(: I'll post a pic of Marcela enjoying her 2nd birthday next week! > > much love, > > Dianna (mommy to Marcela, 2 years old next Tuesday, cast free after 3 casts) >
