Guest guest
Since Mom's is having a dip in their egg production none of us got any on the route yesterday. SO, I gave good ol' ALVIN SCHLEGEN a call and now i've got 30 DOZEN fresh eggs ready to go today. Come get them, they are JUMBOS (monsters), CERT. ORGANIC, HIGH OMEGA 3, HIGH VIT. E delicious eggs. First thing I did when Alvin left this morning was pop one into a skillet to taste it. These things are so fresh, so tasty and beautiful. These are truly amazing eggs. I'd like to see all of them go out today. They are $3.50 a dozen, you can have all you want. Come to my garage and leave your money in the brown leather wallet. I've still got 8 Kombucha starters and plenty of raw pet food too. Will

His bell bottomed ³girls ² live the good life in his ³hen house². No ³boys² to bother them. Ha ha. If you don¹t know, hens produce eggs w/out a rooster to fertilize them. The hens get full run of the indoor barn in winter, no cages. I visited, and I would like to be his chicken, if I was one. Ha ha. That is a question we ask ourselves before we let someone adopt a Saint Bernard dog. Would I like to be that persons animal? Is it a good fit for the person and animal? Alvin¹s chickens have room to cluck, dig, jump, fly, do everything a chicken likes to do. We have wild turkey in our field every day. Very fun to watch them, but I betcha they would like to change places with Alvin¹s chickens in winter. The chickens have limited freedom being in the huge barn in winter, but they have quality food and water, probably get to live longer. It¹s not called a hen house for nothing, those girls like to get together and cluck. Not a bad life. Happy hens, happy eggs for you. Those egg yokes will be big and golden yellow, watch next summer for orange yokes when the greens come out. Kathy
