I just surfed the link posted below by Garth Landers, about Jay

Schroeder's " EVO TRAINING SYSTEM " . I recognize Rick Brunner's name

(the host of this site): he formerly had a sports supplement company

called Atletika.

About 10 years ago Rick collaborated with Ben Tabachnik in authoring a

book on Soviet Training & Recovery Methods. He and his colleagues

also wrote a number of interesting articles in Powerlifting USA in the

late 90s on supplementation. They addressed adaptogens, creatine,

ecdysterone, and some others. Jay also wrote a few articles on his

evolution training concept. Their concepts are very advanced and

intriguing - it's interesting how they're turning up again on so many

issues currently being discussed by this group.

[i visited Ben Tabachnik many years ago in Palo Alto area and it was very

apparent that folk such as those you mention above were making prolific use

of his specialised Russian knowledge. His home was filled with a huge selection

of adaptogens and other supplements that became well known on the US market

only much later. Later he did not seem at all contented about the lack of

credit

that he was receiving from his American colleagues. Mel Siff ]
