Guest guest
, I'm interested in your lipid profile notes but I can't understand either of your e-mails. Would you flesh out your story in detail with a longer post? For example: What do you mean by a " cholesterol fast " ? In today's post, were you listing two different readings for each lipid? What do you mean by " the numbers are lower " ? Please tell us your whole story.... Will
Guest guest
okay first step to this story , I had a physical for some reason. He wanted to do the basic cholesterol test I had both my kids with me and I wasn't about to bring them in the lab. They would go CRAZY touching everything. So my son had to have a physical for preschool and I was in there and said " hey my husbands here today why don't you do that blood test " so that is where is started... first test is the second set of numbers I think?? the first set is the fast numbers. the fast was you don't eat for 12 hours then they test you again. andres Will Winter <holistic@...> wrote: , I'm interested in your lipid profile notes but I can't understand either of your e-mails. Guest guest
Now something else in your story has jumped out for me. After 25 years of running a public clinic I CAN'T BELIEVE how many children (or parents?) are like this today.... " I had both my kids with me and I wasn't about to bring them in the lab. They would go CRAZY touching everything. " Even my commune-raised, hippy kids (albeit born in the '60's) had manners and could sit still for hours, in a church, guest's home or any public space. Just like kids were expected to do when I was a child. What gives? Is it food? Spock-trained parents? Sugar? The times? Aliens? Genetic mutation? Since most of my medical equipment is either dangerous, fragile, or both, I'd usually eventually be forced to be the " bad cop " and park the little monsters into chairs. Most of the parents would express gratitude but a certain percentage would go CRAZY on me (!) for bossing their precious little darlings around. The kids would be WAILING, the parents heading for the door on their way to report me to the authorities, and the appointment shot to hell. Go figure. Guest guest
Wow, is right, I spend the majority of some of those child-in-tow appointments keeping little Jr from stabbing himself with syringe needles or scalpel blades, or worse, getting bitten or scratched by a sick or wounded animal -- with nary an injured child--and this is all the thanks I get. My, my, my. Oh, well, it's all just part of the Great Comedy of Life. The ONLY people who REALLY know what's up with raising children are those that never raised any! That's the best laugh of all. And just think, we were talking about CHOLESTEROL! Obviously, a far SAFER topic and one to which I'M STICKING, like plaque to an artery! Guest guest
The " new " cholesterol is still the " old " genetics...i know plenty folks who are healthy as proverbial horses who have levels high as K2 and some who keep the level low who still have to have surgical intervention...it's all in the genes kids...you can try and control it, but it might not be what is controlling you... Best to just eat well and enjoy life on earth. All in moderation. Life's a comedy; it's up to us to keep it from being a tragedy. H. Guest guest
.. Life's a comedy; it's up to us to keep it from being a tragedy. > > H. Alan That's a good philosophy, H. Alan. ) I'm reading " The Cholesterol Myths " by Dr. Uffe Ravnskov these days. It's dry and academic in some places, but maddening in others when you think about how we've been stampeded into hysteria, and duped and scammed into letting them prescribe those statin drugs. All because of some piss-poor scientific " research " by that fool Ancel Keys, whose shoddy work would never have seen the light of day if somebody hadn't spotted the chance to make mega-bucks off of it. Guest guest
Oh COME ON, such a jaded attitude...but hey, who's gonna deny that the person who coined the term: " better living through chemistry " ...was likely an accountant? 8-) Re: new cholesterol .
