Guest guest
Hi all, Just wanted to share that Matt actually road his big wheel all the way down the street today! It was about 7 houses long, on a slight downhill slant, but his feet were on the pedals, and he was having FUN! This is a first! I cried! Guest guest
I have been asked to become a director for the CEWHA, Toronto Division! This has been my #1 sport, hobby and reason for breathing. I took on the role as the Toronto Division's Players Rep in 2004 and have slowly made a path towards the organizational side. I've spent 30 years playing hockey. I am the first female player who still plays and I may even be the longest continuous playing player (male or female) in the CEWHA. If my friend Silvana and I didn't petition our school principal back in 1974 to allow us to play along side of the boys then CEWHA may never have been born in 1980. I have one year left in the current draft season and when this season is done, I promised my husband to retire (he hates the idea of me getting " roughed up " by today's youn'ens). So I will move from the floor to the boardroom and steer this sport as far as I can! I accepted the directorship position yesterday! Now, if only the Toronto Maple Leafs would hire me as their GM or Head Coach! wink! These disgusting farms exude as much feeling of pain and suffering as they do fetid manure, polluted water, and air that stings your eyes and fouls your nostrils. These factories are just plain rape of land, people and animals. Guest guest
I just returned home from a road trip to Colorado, and I, too, had the gross displeasure of driving past several such farms in Iowa, Nebraska, and Colorado. Will's description below gives my exact impression of and reaction to the experience as well. At one point I stopped in a town to buy gas and even though such a farm was not visible (but I did see others in other locations from the road), the whole town stunk intensely. I can't imagine how people put up with such a low quality of life for both " man and beast " .
