I am wondering what tools everyone uses on both initial and follow-up visits. I have been providing a packet containing information on the diet progression for post-sx as well as a grocery list. However I see some patients up to 6 times for follow-up before their surgery and I'm not quite sure what else to do on these follow-up sessions.I have thought of creating handouts on sample menus, portion size, protein & vitamin supplements, etc. What is everyone else doing? Also, do you all put patients on a meal plan or create menus for patients prior to their surgery? I have mostly been focusing on behavior changes, but recently the psychologist on my team has been suggesting that I put some patients on meal plans or a "diet" before the surgery to see how compliant they will be.Thanks in advance for any

insight! Chase, RD, LDPersonal Nutrition Solutions
