I'm doubtful they have lactose. you may want to check the sweetener content; perhaps it's an intolerance of fructose or an alcohol sugar.

you could have him try another than doesn't have the same sweetener.

I have a patient that is taking Centrum chewable and has been experiencing diarrhea since he started the vitamin. He is lactose intolerant and I know that some drugs contain lactose, but I am not sure about vitamin supplements. Has anyone every had a patient that has experienced this issue? Could be sensitive to some of the additives and fillers.
