Guest guest
I must give credit to Bill Starr (Strength Coach at s Hopkins Univ) for this one, but since I'm on the Supertraining list and Bill isn't, if Kane likes my recipe best, I'll send Bill half the honey. Recipe: Equal parts honey, vanilla or chocolate flavored whey protein powder and peanut butter. The best method is to mix the peanut butter and protein powder first so that it resembles rice (just as one would do when making a pie crust -- for all you bakers out there). Then slowly blend in the honey. Using an amount about the size of a golf ball, roll the mixture into balls, place on a waxed paper lined baking sheet and either refrigerate or freeze until hardened a bit. If you can't wait, you can eat this stuff out of the bowl. Bill says these are transportable, however, if you're going to have them anywhere that's warm, I'd suggest using a cooler as the peanut butter tends to soften. [Or do as I have done - buy sheets of rice paper from any good health store and wrap your energy bars in it. Cut your basr to the desired size, wrap them up and keep them in the refrigerator, ready for when you need them. Mel Siff ] These are absolutely delish and very filling.
