Guest guest
" The Body is the Temple of the Soul. Focus the will of the soul on the body in mind. If you take care of the mind, we've got your body covered " -- Body Temple The above philosophy comes from the label of a well-made, nicely fitting line of bodybuilding clothing, ie. LA Gymmies of Reseda, CA, which we often buy at local NPC shows. The best deals are off the $10 table of seconds (items that have some small flaw that prevented them from being sold at full price) because it's guaranteed that after being on one of us for ten minutes, food or beverage will be spilled down the front anyway. Stains are a way of life in our Venice household! Seriously, for those looking for clothing that will fit up to a 3XL, this is a great place. BTW, Body Temple (the clothing line name) also has a complete line of misses workout clothing as well as men's tee's, sweats and baggies; Gymmies has excellent socks (I've even seen these at the Product Show at the Arnold). Unfortunately, they have no web site, but can be reached by phone at 1-800-496-6437. The folks who own this company are very nice and helpful and may have a catalog they can mail. If you want a top that will fit loosely and look good on a pair of 58 " shoulders, this is the place to find it. The stuff we have is all pre-shrunk cotton, guaranteed to maintain it's size through washer and dryer (to which we can attest). At last, a big fashion that looks like it was designed for something other than a dirt farmer! Jim and Rosemary Vernon Venice, CA
Guest guest
Rosemary Cool. I will refer a few of the larger fellas I know to that outfit. Oh and one other minor comment - I bought leggings and singlets (prior to the crackdown on singlets in usapl due to IPF affiliation) from Hot Skins. I found that a 5'9 " 200 lb female PL = 1 6'4 210 male bb in their sizing...<laughing>. The length and everything fit me, for some odd reason. The women's styles are far too tiny for me of course. Can't even squeeze into a bra of course. They don't carry anything for big people. . (of course, sizing based on WEIGHT is ridiculous anyway!!!!!!! that is ANOTHER pet peeve! 200 lbs can be formed in MANY ways! it's like 1 size fits NONE....laughing) But that's another option in singlets, if your fed doesn't require unlogoed or sponsored gear. The singlets worked well for me in my first few meets. And the shorts were quite useful for workouts - squatting they didn't move around - I still use a couple pairs of them. So there's another place to look, if you need options. Like I said, unfortunately they cater to tiny - but they have drawstrings to fit some things to smaller waists, useful for mine. Oh, and at 1998 men's nationals here, we sold up to the 5 xl tshirts....it seems PL has big fans, not just big lifters. We ran out of everything - 400 tshirts, had only 8 mediums left, after day one! <speculation in front of the booth if Uncle Bob needed the 4xl - for example, laughing> Warmest regards, The Phantom A Temple for Big Bodies > " The Body is the Temple of the Soul.
