I will try it if I can find my real rose petals LOL --I dried some out for

different reasons. I also want to try to make the rose beads that they make

out of real petals--have any of you done them. They are suppose to hold

their scent for over 100 years. Glitz

Glitz, I also thought it was " real " rose petals, although silk ones should

be

nice, too. I don't know why it would not work with " real " rose petals if

they were dried before dipping. Whose goning to try it, you or me?

Donna thanks--- Well that is a relief--the ones I dried came from roses

bushes around my house LOL. So I guess I am safe huh? Makes sense about

the pesticides though. Glitz

You need to know where your roses came from, do they have pesticides on

them. I have always been told to stay away from ones at the floral shop as

you don't know what they have on them. Donna

Once again my fingers did the walking before my eyes did the reading...geez...

Can anyone please resend me privately so it doesn't clog up the site what the

rose petals dipped in M & P were used for??? I am making baskets for Mother's

Day and would really appreciate that info again...and someday I WILL learn to

SLOW DOWN on that delete button :o)

Thanks,

Vicki

Vicki - the m & p rose petals are used as disposable soaps. There is just

enough soap on each dipped petal to wash hands once or twice and then be

disposed of. Carol A2

I tried the rose petals over the weekend. Scented them with Rose Absolute

so they smelled wonderful. Putting them in a pretty little dish in the

ladies room at work. Tried one myself and couldn't stop smelling my hands.

This is so easy. I'm going to my first craft show this weekend, and I'm

going to put a big basket of them in the bathroom there, with my business

card and a note on my stationary that says the following: " One Use Hand

Soaps! Bring the " empty " rose petal to booth #__ and receive a free gift! "

Hoping that will get people to come see me!

Re: Mother's Day Gifts

Thanks Carol! I can't wait to try this. Maybe put in a pretty basket with

some rose scented lotion.

Hugs,

Glitz, darling, would you happen to have the instructions for making the

rose beads? I have asked for them here a couple of times, but nobody every

replied. I live in a predominantly Catholic area and would love to be able

to make rosaries.

Thanks, doll!

- what a great idea to put them in the ladies room, however, at a

craft show you can't really depend on people to not " walk off with all them

in their pockets " if you know what I mean. If they all do disappear in a

short time, you will know they were well received as I am sure they will

be. I hope you get lots of publicity. Best of luck. Carol A2
