Guest guest
, I have an old book that does show several children with defects of formation of L1 resulting in kyphosis. I didn't find any that also had a heart condition with it, though it seems vertebral anomalies and heart anomalies do occur together frequently. The method of treatment in this book, from 1983, was surgery and I know you mentioned that he can not have it right now. I did find an article about a kyphosis that goes with low muscle tone and that gets better with more tone. I know that this happened to some extent with our dd, even though she has congenital malformations. That is she had low tone and this seemed to contribute to her scoliosis which was caused by malformed vertebrae. I don't know if your son has low muscle tone though. I would be happy to mail you copies of the pages from the old book, it is just that it is old. I have found it to be very helpful though. Will be thinking of you guys.
