Also if it has not been tried yet osteopathic muscle energy technique as in Greenmans Principles of Manual Medicine has some good gentile maneuvers for the Pelvic, SI joint and lumbar areas if you know somebody who studied and mastered it. I learned it from a hands on DO and I have used i with good results since 1984. However I am in Eugene.

Ted, I also forgot to mention that Ileocecal Sphincter if over contracted due to irritation or L1 subluxation will back up Small Intestine causing delay in removal of waste which will increase toxic build up. The body will increase water to deal with the increase toxins, which in turn will swell joints, especially low back and SI. SI swells like a balloon and becomes unstable especially when standing. In turn muscle tighten around the joint and finally spasm, especially without good Magnesium levels in the body. You have to look at many things other then the SI. One thing for sure I would not manipulate an unstable joint increasing further stress to the ligaments. Muscle relaxants will only increase unstably. Pain creates more mental stress to the adrenals and the cycle goes on and on. It needs to heal with good body

support by good muscle integrity and then and outside support to help the muscles. Then find the original cause, even if that was stepping off a curb without looking. Damage directly to the SI itself. The body will try to fixate it, to support it, in anyway that it can to heal those ligaments. Good adrenals will also reduce swelling when it is time. Good luck.
