Guest guest
It was indeed a sad day for the OCA Board of Directors that were forced to terminate Dr. Vern Saboeas our lobbyist. This decision was not taken lightly but the Board was put in this position byDr Saboe himself. We have been advised by our legal council to refrain from any formal statement until next week. We are sorry that this message has been released to the profession through a non-association list servewhen it is OCA business. However, the profession should understand that there are two sides to this story --and the chiropractors that unified this profession through many lengthy negotiations and meetings, did not include Dr Saboe, contrary to popular belief and misinformation. They are still serving as the "Unification Board" and remain unified in this very difficult decision that was made. Guest guest
Jan, You were not forced to do anything. You and the OCA board specifically negated the votes of 75+ members and then scheduled a meeting on a Tuesday night when you know most of us work on Wednesday! Does that say anything about your manipulating the democratic process to be unfair? The unification board has no standing beyond Dec 31 and there was a working plan to democratically replace a portion of those members as per the bylaws. This was also voted on by General Membership. Where did that vote go? Into the "we don't llike that vote" folder along with the vote on lobbyists and the bylaws too?
