I did exactly same thing a year ago-and lady filed also in Wash.  I was not charged for anything on my Oregon unemployment rates so you can rest at peace here.  It will not affect your Oregon rates -I was told by the folks at the Employment division here in Oregon.  I just received my Oregon rates for 2011 and they show no claims at all.  Peace.

I hired a temporary employee to cover someone's 3 week maternity leave in my clinic in NW Portland. The temp fulfilled the 3 week term and she was released and subsequently filed for unemployment in Washington. I think there are a number of problems with this filing, but does anyone have information on who is eligible for unemployment? I thought you had to work for a certain minimum period and the position couldn't be temporary. I know for sure I shouldn't be responsible for anything in Washington.
