The Scavenger Hunt, having become one of most favorite games played in the Renaissance and Pirate Faires along the west coast during the last 23 years - was developed by my sister, my son and myself as a lark to have something to do for a summer while I got a divorce. Since then it has mushroomed far beyond our wildest dreams. Now, there is an actors troup of ~40 people who gather and support and play with us...people come year after year after year to the various fairs just to play the Scavenger Hunt. Last year we became one of the fundraisers for the Shriner's Hospital in Sacramento.

This game has given us so much fun over the years: you will laugh so much your cheeks are sore!

There were years when we set it up and played almost every weekend of summer; now we come together much less often. The Portand Pirate Festival heard of us and asked us to come to Portland...... 13 Privateers - in FULL regalia - are coming up from Sacramento to play the game with you,... plus the 5 of us that already live here in Oregon.........

The Pivateers will give you a list of 12 items, 8 of which are things you will be able to find about the fair-grounds.....4 of the items you must perform for all of us ... and therein lies the fun! Things such a the Best Team Impersonation of a Spouting Fountain, the Furthest Spat Cherry Seed, The Most Diabolical Laugh, the Best Pirate & Parrot Impersonation, the Naughtiest Tattoo, The Strongest Arm Wrestled or even the Best Plea for Mercy..... are the types of things that can win you the points that win you the grand prizes!! And you will laugh more than you have done in a year!

Bring your whole family! Dress up for a day. Be a Pirate! Aggrrrhh!!!
