I hope the Dr. is being responsible and taking care of all your medical bills and helping with the raising of the family... Were nerves severed also??? Or is the blood clot what is causing the numbness... Let us know how you cope with your days and raising your family... Sounds like you have your hands full... Vent all ya want, no post is too short or too long... (((Welcoming hugs )))Helen I'M ANNA, I LIVE IN SALINAS, CA I'M A WIFE AND MOTHER OF 4. MY KIDS AGES ARE 11,10,6 & 14MO. AFTER I DELIVERED MY LAST BABY I WANTED MY TUBES TIED AND IT WAS SCHEDULED FOR THE NEXT DAY. WHEN I WENT IN FOR THE SURGERY THE DR CUT MY MAIN VEIN AND ILIAC ARTERY ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF ME. I LUCKY TO BE HEAR TODAY. I ALMOST LOST MY LEG AS WELL AND LUCKILY THEY AIRLIFTED ME TO A GREAT HOSPITAL THAT HAD A GREAT TEAM AND WAS ABLE TO SAVE THE LEG. IN RESULT TO ALL THAT I ENDED UP WITH 2 BLOOD CLOTS ONE IN MY RIGHT CAFF AND ON IT MY GROIN. IAM ON A HIGH DOSE CUMADIN INCLUDING DEPRESSION PILLS...I'VE NEVER BEEN THIS BADLY DEPRESSED OR STRESSED IN MY LIFE...AND I'M ONLY 28 AND 29 THIS MONTH. ANYHOW I WAS IMMOBILE FOR A LONG TIME I'M ABLE TO WALK BETTER BUT I STILL HAVE NUMBNESS IN MY RIGHT FOOT. FEELS LIKE IT'S STILL SLEEPING. I WALK WITH A FOOT DROP AND I HAVE 4 INCISIONS IN MY RIGHT CAFF THAT'S HOW THEY SAVED THE LEG. I'VE GAINED SO MUCH WEIGHT SINCE THIS ALL HAPPENED AND NOW I HAVE AN INSITIONAL HERNIA THAT HAS BEEN GROIN SINCE I CAME HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL IN NOVEMBER OF 04. I HAVE TO LOSE WEIGHT IN ORDER FOR THEM TO OPERATE OR THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE OF IT COMING BACK. SO THAT PUTS A LOT OF STRESS ON ME TO0, CAUSE EVERYTHING I TRY TO LOOSE WEIGHT SEEMS NOT TO WORK WELL FOR ME. AND I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY I HAVE SUCH A PROB. WITH IT.
