Their scope of practice under many if not most health plans exceeds ours, particularly under Federal plans like Medicare and Medicaid. There is no real benefit in berating them or attacking them over spinal manipulation. There may even come a day when we will have closer alignment with them. This is especially true for DCs working in hospitals and medical centers. They currently do not have prescriptive rights, although they do have training in pharma-cology. They currently lack the clerkships necessary for prescribing, and that could change.
