Guest guest
Dear AllI spotted this on the CPHVA website. It can feel as if the CNOs Action Plan for Health Visiting has gone quiet, but they have actually been beavering away behind the scenes, trying to develop a way of explaining the 'how' of health visiting. The idea is to have a 'model' of some kind (probably a powerpoint, or web site or similar), that can be accessed by those outside the profession who need to understand in a nutshell what the key features are, how health visitors operate and (most important, I think) why some things are best carried out by health visitors and cannot be handed to colleagues and team members. I missed most of the early work, which happened whilst I was off sick in the winter, but attended the last couple of workshops that were jointly facilitated by Anne Rowe (who is currently working with the FNP) and Crispin Day (Director of the Centre for Parent and Child Support). It is now at a point that is ready for 'piloting,' so anyone who can get to this workshop in London will be very welcome, I'm sure. I think the next plan is to 'road test' it around the country, which will happen over the autumn. best wishes Cowleysarahcowley183@...http://myprofile.cos.com/S124021COn 1 of 1 File(s) From principles to practice flier 20-7-10.doc
