This is my first time to tincture ambrette seeds. Until now, every

sample of ambrette seeds that I have ever smelled were slightly

aromatic, at best. Anya's ambrette seeds are superbly fragranced and

oh so musky. They are wonderful!

Lacking experience in tincturing ambrette has made me a little crazier

lately. Besides researching how best to use these precious little

seeds in Arctander, blogs, etc., I have been a pain in the ass to

Anya, and for that I apologize and thank you ever so much for your

experience and insight. Also, thank you Ayala.

I made two different tinctures from the ambrette seeds. The first is

Ambrette seed whole tincture 50%. I left the seeds whole and made a

50% dilution with undenatured rectified grain alcohol 96% (192

proof). The second is Ambrette seed ground tincture 25%, the

standard tincture according to Arctander.

It will be very interesting to see if there is a difference between

tincturing ground seeds versus whole seeds. Also, the utility of a

25% versus 50% tincture will be evaluated. I will report back in 2

months - the recommended length of maceration.

Planting time is upon us. Is anyone else going to experiment growing

Ambrette plants from Anya's seeds? Will report back on that,

too.

Thank you Anya for such a rare item of such high quality.
