Guest guest
This same article appeared on this list serve a few months ago. I remember tearing it apart then. However this time I read the chart provided more carefully. These 26 deaths include a woman who died of a “Thrombosis of basilar artery”, 58 days after an adjustment. Let me repeat that… 58 days later! To be fair we don’t know when symptoms started, but come on… 58 days later! I hear she ate chicken 45 days before she died. Maybe she’s allergic to chicken? I also love the “many more deaths go unreported”. For giggles let’s assume that only 1% of deaths get reported. That would mean there really are 2600 deaths in 76 years or about 34 deaths per year. To put that in perspective… The estimate deaths “attributable to NSAIDs have widely varied from 3,200 to higher than 16,500 deaths per yr in the United States”. The American Journal of Gastroenterology (2005) 100, 1694–1695; doi:10.1111/j.1572-0241.2005.50565.x To sum up… even if we are lying 99% of the time we are still 100-500 times safer that NSAIDS!!!!!
