Guest guest
Hi Anyone have a “service agreement” contract in force? As I understand it, the rules for contracted people in your business are very stringent. If you have contractors (i.e. A bookkeeper who works 2 days per week and you pay for their work without listing them as an employee) who don’t meet all the contractor requirements, you could be forced to pay back-payroll taxes fines, etc. For instance, they cannot use your equipment, cannot have regular hours, blah, blah, yadda. http://www.irs.gov/businesses/small/article/0,,id=99921,00.html A way to comply is to set up a contracted service agreement where the person pays you for i.e. billing, reception, space, etc. E.
