Guest guest
I am going to send some patients for lab work to determine Vit D levels, including myself and my wife. I anticipate the cost will be up there. I assume that it may be included with a panel that gives you a more diverse picture for a couple more bucks. Anyone know of a good all around panel that includes Vitamin D and the approx costs. --Dr. Layman
Guest guest
Direct labs and Professional Lab Co-Op are both lab co-ops that offer great prices. You have to set up an account with Lab Corp first, then with the co-ops directly. Anyhoo, brings Vit D down to around $50 for serum. A GREAT way to do the testing in-office for DC's is to use ZRT labs. They are based in Beaverton and use Blood Spot testing. Easy finger prick, a drop of blood on a card, around $65. This is so easy for kids as well and they can do the kit at home and mail themselves. They offer all kinds of great salivary and blood spot testing and health insurance often covers it:) Tyna , ND, DC Clearwater Clinic 1201 SW 12th Ave, Ste 205 Portland, OR 97205 503.279.0205 www.clearh2o.org
