How quickly can we begin to see degenerative changes in a C-spine after MVA trauma?

Dear colleagues,

Can anyone tell me when is the soonest we can begin to see

degenerative changes in the cervical spine after a type whiplash (CAD)

trauma. I thought I recall one medical journal article referring to as

early as 6-months……anyone have the answer at their finger tips and

even better a citation that supports your answer???
