Dear All

Please see below email sent out to Health Visiting teams.

Please copy and paste link to Rosemary e's (Director of

Bookgifting) blog on update on funding.

A proposal is being considered by Gove and

Department for Education. We really do apprieciate that waiting for news at

this time, when local authorities and health services are already in such

difficult circumstances and an extra burden and that you urgently need to take

strategic plans forward. We are now eight weeks away from the 31st of March, so

time is becoming critical and hopefully we will hear news soon.

However, to reiterate, bookgifting will continue - the

Sectretary of State, Gove has committed to funding bookgifting and

publishers are willing to help with more in-kind support and, important to

government priorities, the new model includes support for the most

disadvantaged, early years and primary and secondary school children.

We will let you know further information soon, if you have

any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

Best wishes
