Guest guest
Just had a person walk in the door schedule and appointment. She has Kaiser. She had a hip replacement and has some osteoperosis. She requested a referral to a chiropractor. They denied it due to the reasons above. I thought they only denied referrals to chiropractors for neurological conditions, but it appears they are expanding their reasons. This should be a HUGE concern to the profession. I piggy back Dr. ' request of Dr. Simpson to provide a hard copy list of conditions they refuse to refer to chiropractors for. This patient said to me "I hate Kaiser. If I hear "Thrive" one more time i'm gonna puke. They don't want me to thrive. They want me to stay in their system and spend my money there despite what I want." How many folks are being denied chiropractic care even though they have it under their policy? How come they are the ONLY insurance company that I know of that still requires an MD referral when the patient has chiro benny? This implies that Chiropractors don't know what the hell they are doing. it's an absolute outrage. ph Medlin D.C.Spine Tree Chiropractic1607 NE Alberta StPDX, OR 97211503-788-6800
