What is Stepping into Play? The Stepping into Play is a six-session programme targeted at parents and carers to empower them to offer their children high value play with low cost resources. It is one of the most comprehensive and fun programmes to run with parents/carers on play. The facilitator training day The facilitator’s training day will equip those working with parents and carers to deliver the programme to others. After the training, you will: § gain an overview of the programme § understand the facilitation style and approach § know how to run the activities in the programme § have an opportunity to ask questions about delivering the programme § be confident about delivering the programme to others. The day will be highly participatory and lots of fun, reflecting the ethos of Stepping into Play. Participants will receive: § a Certificate of Approved Trainer § Stepping into Play Facilitators’ manual and CD The manual offers step by step guidance on how to deliver the programme and includes a detailed agenda for each session, explanatory notes, hand-outs and activity sheets. “..well conceived...and an impressive programme manual” (Janet Moyles, author of Playing for Real).
