IN my discussions with and others - we thought it might again be a useful idea. Can I check out with SENATE members who would be interested and wish to come. We could either go to a hotel or if anyone has a venue we can use - we could do that and stay nearby. Obviously there is not any financial resource so we will need to fund ourselves. Guest guest
Thanks for posting this Margaret, it's great to see so much immediate enthusiasm. The first big questions is 'when' - the conversation we were having was that usually February is a good month for very cheap hotel deals (after all, who wants to go away for wet weekend in February),which is good as it would necessarily be self-financing. Once you get into March, prices start to rise, also would not want to clash with UKSC weekend or the Profile Productions Child Health conference in the second half of March. But February is very soon. Could we aim for the third or fourth weekend? Trouble is, that clashes with half term. Guest guest
Sounds good. March preferable to Feb as latter often has nasty weather surprises., but should we look at April in view of the research weekend in March? Agree somewhere fairly central. Guest guest
Thanks elaine , unfortunatley last month I took a post as a " nurse " , even as I write it I feel sad. I remain passionate about HV and would still be interested in developments but not sure I qualify as a member now . How are people placed and a question of where - do we go for the middle of the country? Margaret Re: Senate Weekend Thanks for posting this Margaret, it's great to see so much immediate enthusiasm. We could either go to a hotel or if anyone has a venue we can use - we could do that and stay nearby. Obviously there is not any financial resource so we will need to fund ourselves. Perhaps members could get back to me as we will need to sort ASAP.
