Mixed messages on success. The rate of increase in numbers of obese

and very obese children may be slowing, but lower SES groups and

children of Bangladeshi origin (both sexes) seem not to have

benefitted from initiatives so far. Plus, children overall are

getting heavier at school entry, even though they would not be

considered obese.

Given that in some areas, HVs don't visit children over a particular

age (I've heard age 2 years in my area), who'd be working with

children and families on this kind of problem? Is it all down to

GPs?
