Guest guest
A link to this latest report. http://www.noo.org.uk/uploads/doc/vid_6461_NOO_NCMP_changes_bmi.pdf Mixed messages on success. The rate of increase in numbers of obese and very obese children may be slowing, but lower SES groups and children of Bangladeshi origin (both sexes) seem not to have benefitted from initiatives so far. Plus, children overall are getting heavier at school entry, even though they would not be considered obese. Given that in some areas, HVs don't visit children over a particular age (I've heard age 2 years in my area), who'd be working with children and families on this kind of problem? Is it all down to GPs? H
