Guest guest
Some valuable info for ya... J. Holzapfel, DCAlbany, Oregon541-928-4060 ---------- Forwarded Message ----------From: Kara Murray <KMurray@...>Undisclosed-recipients:;Subject: CAC Call Cancelled 6/1Date: Tue, 1 Jun 2010 11:51:29 -0400 CAC representatives, asked that I send the message below to you:Just wanted to send a quick note to say that I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend. We are canceling today’s call because we know that you will all be very busy in your practices today (after the long weekend) and we felt to have a call at 12:00 EDT (which would be prime patient hours for our friends west of us) would just be too inconvenient for everyone. The main pressing concerns are, of course, the Red Flags Rule and the Medicare fee schedule. Kara has done her usual excellent job in updating you on those two issues (see below). She will, of course, let everyone know when there is a final decision on the fee schedule for June. In the mean time, we would recommend holding all your Medicare claims for the first ten days or until further notice. Yes, we are aware the contractors are supposed to hold them; however, in the past few months some claims have been mistakenly processed by contractors and then had to be resubmitted/reprocessed causing unnecessary time and work for the providers. We feel it would be in your best interest to just hold your claims for 7-10 days, especially if you are non-par. If you have any questions on these issues, please feel free to contact Kara (KMurray@...). “See” you next month! VTVTVTVTVTVTVTVTVTVTVTVTVTVTVT Go Hokies!
