Guest guest
Dear Senate friends I have recently started some partnership working with a fantastic organisation called Young Minds. YoungMinds is the UK’s leading charity committed to improving the emotional wellbeing and mental health of all children and young people aged up to 25 and empowering their parents and carers. Driven by their experiences, they campaign, research and influence policy and practice. A manifesto has been created by YoungMinds Very Important Kids panel (VIK) and Healthy Heads group. The VIK provides a much needed voice for children and young people with mental health problems. They campaign regionally and feed into national policymaking as well as talking directly to the media about their experiences. Healthy Heads is a virtual group of 250 children and young people who input into YoungMinds’ policy and campaigning. I have attached the information for you. Booktrust will hopefully be sponsoring their annual book award next year. Young Minds are part of the National Advisory Council for CAMHS. They are looking for alliance members to support the manifesto.
