Guest guest
We only get 700 dollars a month here if we are disabled. Our medical is paid regardless if we are working, young or old,but none of our drugs, dental, glasses or hearing aides are paid for unless we can afford it.It is a thousand dollars for a hearing aide,440 for glasses and 2600for repairs to my remaining 8 teeth and 1 full plate and 1 parcial plate. If I wasn't working where it isn't declared we would be in deep sh--.My pay even pays for our groceries. It is expensive to live in Canada. Guest guest
I think you are just a few days ahead of me in where we are at with hep-c. I have my appointment with my doctor at the VA Monday, and I will be getting the results of 4 viles of blood which was drawn a couple weeks back. I do know my hiv test came back negative. My regular veterans doctor was able to share that with me. He said he was unable to intrepert the rest of it to much, because he isn't a specialist on infectious diseases. I haven't posted in awhile.but, ahave been keeping up on the group the best I can.. Mike > > The appointment went VERY WELL! She agrees that I need to go on treatment ASAP. Guest guest
Different provinces, different Disability. I'm in Ontario & on ODSB - this covers everything! I get $1001/month + all prescriptions (with a $2 each co-pay) glasses, dental - they paid for my extractions & my upper & lower plates - orthotics etc etc. I just found out today that they'll pay for my trip down east for the TP assessment. Hey Gail, maybe you should move up here. Guest guest
Already lived in Toronto for many years, was born in Hamilton but raised in BC.My husband is from here.I would like to be in Toronto or BC again if we could afford to do it again. We have a lot of family and friends in Toronto and my son in borough. My pension is under Canadian Pension. But when I was living in Toronto waiting for my pension to go through I was only getting 500 a month to live on and my medical and everything was covered but I had to live with other people to be able to have a roof over my head.My husband gets his canada pension and old age pension and they cover his meds but nothing else.Take care hon.
