He recommended surgery, based on the fact that her coccyx had been removed at the age of 11. (I had her in a trochanter belt with which she was 50% compliant). He suggested he 'fuse' something and she is 'now awaiting surgery'. My opinion that fusing something (at this point, I don't know what that will be), based on removal of a coccyx and the instability that that causes the SIs, is not a good idea. But I wasn't consulted anywhere along during this discussion/work-up. Do I owe her a statement of concern? Do I keep my opinions to myself? All of the above was discussed with my CA, not me...and the lady firmly states that 'I plan to come see her again in the fall'. Thoughts?
