Guest guest
Hello listmates, Two things: 1) I attached the poster and contact information for the upcoming To Sing Is To Fly concert, May 16th. I feel so deeply and passionalely that the music we offer our audiences is not only exquisite and soundly crafted, but it is also transformative, uplifting, inspiring, and full of healing. Really. I'm not kidding. Please come and treat yourself and your loved ones and friends to a wonderful musical experience. And for those of you who are 'down in Salem', you should know that there is a large contingency of Salem folks who come EVERY concert and each time they bring more friends with them. PDX is not so far away... 2) I was so completely exhausted after all the medical testing and 'scares' I've been through recently, I can attest to the power of music to heal. I just about collapsed Friday night after my first week back after cystoscopic surgery. Had put my 'party face' on for my patients and everyone else. Just couldn't keep it up. Come Sat and Sunday--2 day I had manditoryconcert readiness retreat. Should have finished me off. Instead, I emerged stronger in mind, body and spirit--so much wind under my wings. And no more fear. Power stuff, this music. Colorectal surgical consult today. They confirmed what I had already figured out. (Yes, I did receive an excellent education at WSCC!) The most likely diagnosis is a rare, benign submucosal lipoma tumor of the cecum. I'm taking a breather from all the testing. I plan to finish the Aurora Chorus concert and then go in 3 weeks for an endoscopic ultrasound and needle biopsy. I told the surgeon that by the time that appointment comes around, they had better be prepared to go in and find NOTHING. So many prayers from so many of you and others, so much good energy coming my way. How Can I Keep From Singing? (That's one of the songs we'll be presenting on May 16th....) So I'm not completely out of the woods, but my spirit says, Rest, Breathe, Remember how powerful you are! Be not afraid! Live and love, let go and let God. So that's the latest report. Thank you for all the good mojo you've been sending my way. You have NO idea how much I appreciate your support. And I hope to see some of you at the May 16th concert. Two shows, 4 pm and 7 pm. Not to be missed. Blessings back to all of you, Ann , DC / Soprano 1 Diva 1 of 1 Photo(s)
