Guest guest
Hi Don: I read about an DC in Lake O. who made the paper for some sort of advertising problems with his DRX ....he is now $36,000 lighter. I guess chiros with DRX9000 all over the country got their butt's kicked on this...I do not really remember the details and I really do not care. I do not remember if he is on this list or not. What caught my attention was that he is under court order to follow FTC guidelines with respect to patient testimonials/endorsements. Well, I use some testimonials in a couple of ads and on my website and I was not familiar with the FTC guidelines. So, I looked them up, I read them and uploaded them to the list-serv for all to see. They are pretty limiting. Sadly, it's not enough that the testimonial be true and accurate and it is not enough to say " results not typical " or " your results may vary " in those cases that are atypical. Worth a read for those who use testimonials, even star ratings on things like google and citysearch have to comply with FTC guidelines. Worth looking through. john collins they can also be accessed here: http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2009/10/endortest.shtm > > Hey...........for the techo idiot.
