Hello,

I am new to this community and to perfumes in general and joined to

learn some things and perhaps get accurate information on some of

those essential oils and absolutes floating around.

My interest in natural perfumes was sparked when a friend of mine

suggested we make our own personalized blends, which sounded

delightful to me. One of my favorite scents is ylang ylang and I

think that I would like to start with that and blend in just 2 others

to start with. At the local aromatherapy shop, I had smelled this

linden blossom absolute, which I thought was intriguing but wondered

about its authenticity...in searching for information on that, I found

this group and I am so happy that I did!

I am hoping to get some tips on blending so that my first experience

will be a good one! So far I ylang ylang and palmarosa seem to be the

ones I am leaning towards...but I would love to hear any advice!

I have always been interested in natural products, those without

synthetic scent, without harmful chemicals. I try to apply that

principle to everything I buy, as much as is possible...from cleaning,

to natural dyeing, to personal beauty.
