Guest guest
I actually made a perfume!!!!! I am strictly a novice at this but really... I'm so impressed. I was diddling around and thought what the hell. Let me try. and I actually got a very nice perfume. It smells great hours later and, incredibly, someone wants to buy some. What do I charge? But I did want to congratulate you on getting a winner first time out. The stuff I made when I first started blending was mostly crap. And I am still capable of making some pretty crappy stuff, but the ratio of good to crap is getting better all the time. You must have a gift! All the best! -Patty __________________________________________________

It's so heart breaking when it doesn't come out as expected. All those precious drops wasted. A good one always comes out of it eventually. Made a really nicely balanced blend last week. Put it in a 7ml sprayer (first time using a sprayer) and it lasts a really long time. My problem has been getting a blend to last more than a few hours. I could still smell it the following morning. Georgia try getting a program to estimate the price of your ingredients. I use soapmaker for this because I also make soap. It will estimate a price for drops although it might not be pin drop accurate, it is pretty close and once you figure your cost for the blend you can adjust it from there. There is also another program, can't think of the name, having a brain fart at the moment but I think I saw it in the links section. I got the sample from Snowdrift Farms. http://www.snowdriftfarm.com/ Now, I've heard since then that there are better absolutes for Jasmin, however, if you want to start there, I know that one smells a good deal like Georgio. It's also VERY expensive. Good Luck! Please post your progress. Mel
