Guest guest
Hi everybody, I've been pre-occupied in the past week - mostly because of good things (busy business), but also because of some personal stuff ( coming back from his snowy business trip and celebrating our anniversary finally). Anywyas, I've been delving into the tincturing world. Started brewing a few things which I am surprisingly happy with. I have kaffir lime leaves since Sunday night in alcohol. I started thinking they are just about to smell " off " so I strained them. How long do the tincturing mavens here usually leave citrus leaves in alcohol for? The result, by the way, is a beautiful emerald green. I think it smelled better yesterday night though (only two days in the alcohol). * Also tincturing a few other stranger/rarer materials, but will post about them later! I can't quite remember how long I left the leaves in the SD alcohol for, but it was at least a week and the fragrance now is still beautiful - just like the fresh leaves. If anyone has any knowledge about where I can find some white ginger lily absolute, I'd be very grateful. Thanks, . I haven't got any, however. Eden Botanicals has ginger lily root, which is spicy/woody, nice, but if you are looking for a floral scent, quite different than what you might have in mind. I got a sample of the ginger lily root from them and I love it. --------------------------------- No need to miss a message. Get email on-the-go with for Mobile. Get started. I'm really after the White Ginger Lily floral scent. It's so powerful and not at all cloying, which I love. I don't see it on White Lotus, but I understand they used to have it. Also, I believe you have to buy wholesale and need some license to buy from there. Correct me if I'm wrong. . > > >
