I think it's just that because it's endangered, folks are now reluctant to buy it and support production of an unsustainable material. I think that the way you use your rosewood is the ultimate way to honor and respect it because it is endangered. Like folks do with true sandalwood and others. And I think you're lucky and blessed to have so much of it! On another (base)note, I was sort of dismayed to see on the Basenotes site that they're producing sandalwood-scented postage stamps in India. I thought, what a sad waste of an endangered wood.
