If the house is already infested you can do a heat treatment with heaters

instead of gassing the place. Prevention... not sure... I don't know how safe

the ground bait is they use nor do I know of an alternative other than having no

wood... LOL

Can someone give me some suggestions,

or links for termite control?

I need to get up to speed on this subject

for my home.

I live in the humid Southeast U.S.. Termites

can do a lot of damage here.

From what I have read so far, it seems there

is no reliable alternative to conventional

chemicals (on an already completed house).

Is this correct? If so, how can one take

precautions to minimze negative health effects?

What is the heat treatment? Burning the place down comes to mind.

I wonder heat treatment would kill mold?

I was just kidding about burning the home but then again, I guess I

could rebuild on the same land. Never thought about that. I have a

good spot location wise.
