Dear Colleagues,

I and the profession need your continued help. I need you to report any instances wherein an injured worker has been told the must go to a particular Occ Med Clinic, Urgenic Care Clinic, Doctor, or Company Doctor/Nurse for treatment. If they have even been told they can't see a chiropractor "because this is a workers' comp case. We are going to keep the pressure on and the Oregon Chiropractic Association is going to introduce more legislation during the 2011 regular legislative session in hopes of finally ending this anti-worker activity. Here is some of the things you can do:

Write me a comprehensive email detailing eveything that happened to your patient.

Write a comprehensive letter on your professional letterhead (better than #1) detailing what happened and mail the original to me for my file.

Have your patient write a letter explaining what happened. Better yet write the letter for him and have them sign the letter this way it gets done and then mail it to me. Letters from injured workers had the greatest impact on the legislators last session.

You and the injured workers contact and file a complaint with Leah Bingham Investigator.

I will be giving testimony in front of the House Business and Labor Interim Committee shortly and need as many new examples as I can get to validate this problem continues. BTW this is a national problem which we on the ACA Workers' Compensation Committee are addressing as well.
