almonds?

In my opinion, Almonds are a great snack. At the store that I shop

at, they sell raw almonds. Unsalted, unroasted, unprocessed and they

rock! They're a great source of good fats, but pretty high in

calories, so I only eat 10 to 12 at a time. I incorporate them into

my cottage cheese treat that I eat, but you can eat them alone if

you enjoy them. I've read that for centuries people have sworn by

the healthy properties of almonds. LOVE THEM!

Me too. I buy the raw, unsalted in bulk. Usually will eat about 10 a

day along with my afternoon meal as the fat portion for the meal. You

just have to be careful to count them out then put the bag away.

Otherwise they're deadly. They have vitamin E.

Gotta chime in here and say that I recently had a salad from Subway and they

offered me a little bag of almonds with it. I took it, never having had almonds

in a salad before, and boy were they good in a salad! Of course I had the

vinaigrette dressing too, which should have been an either/or situation, but at

least I know now that almonds are good in a salad.

in WI, who keeps trying to jump back on that bandwagon (there should be

a sugar-addicts anonymous group created... I'd be an active participant in that

one!)
