Guest guest
I have recently joined your group. Fantastic! I'm not very familiar with boards, and have never managed to figure them out (how can you tell when someone is responding to a specific 'thread'?), so I hope you all can bear with my ignorance here. I just wanted to introduce myself. I've been 'collecting' scents and perfume bottles now for 32 years (I still have 32 year old real musk, patchouli, and rose otto, all of which smell better today than when I bought them). I've been actively collecting essential oils for the last few years, and only recently began trying to blend perfumes, with limited success. I'm up to 110 essential oils (many are variations of the same, for example, in lavenders: Lavandin officinale, high altitude, English, lavandin grosso, Bulgarian, 40/42, etc. from different sources, domestic and international, ie, HRF, Sanoflore, CamdenGrey, EOU). Most of my blending have been for soap and lotions, it's new for me to attempt to blend for scent value only. I own a small soaping company, ZenSoaps ( www.zensoaps.com ). My focus has been soap, lotions, handcrafted personal products, so perhaps I can repay what I learn here by helping with areas in my own expertise. Over the past year, I've bought a small collection (about 20) books on the subject of natural perfumery and essential oils... including Tisserand's. I was delighted to find his name in the Member Database. Awsome! I am looking forward to learning more about perfume blending, and sharing info with this interesting group! Thanks for having me:).
